Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (f/m/d)

Festanstellung, Vollzeit · Remote

About the role
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform team. Your responsibilities will range from managing infrastructure (configuration, observability, cost) to setting up automation for our CI/CD processes, to making sure security is a part of everything we do.

Our technical stack is built on top of Docker, K8S, Terraform, AWS services (including Lambda, SQS, RDS, S3), Python, React and other technologies.

Taktile is a hybrid company. It would be great if you can join us in our HQ office in Berlin, but we are also hiring fully remotely within +/- 2h of the Berlin HQ timezone (CEST/GMT+2). Strong grasp of written and spoken English is a must to effectively and clearly communicate in our remote environment. Our hiring model is full-time employment contract.
What You'll Do
  • Work with our AWS infrastructure to continuously improve how we operate.
  • Integrate security as part of our automation processes, e.g. via CI/CD gates.
  • Implement automation and observability across infra resources.
  • Ability to code is a requirement, ideally in Python.
  • Manage our Kubernetes clusters to maintain high availability.
  • Bring your own ideas for improving our infrastructure stack and implement them.
  • Contribute to our operational rotation to react and resolve incidents in production.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers across infrastructure, platform and product as we are still a fairly small team where everyone helps each other out and provides feedback.
Ideal, But Not Required
  • B2B or SaaS experience is a strong plus.
Our Offer
You’ll love this job if you…
  • Want to work with a cross-functional team of experienced professionals from whom there is a lot to learn.
  • Value autonomy and ownership: want a team where you can experiment, come up with your own solutions and deliver unhindered by overly-bureaucratic processes.
  • Build trust and enjoy working in a team where feedback is candidly shared.
  • Seek customer impact through your work: we are a product company where everything we build drives customer value with a fast feedback cycle.
Within your first year, you’ll…
  • Start with a detailed on-boarding plan and a buddy to provide you with guidance and feedback during your first few weeks.
  • Have frequent 1:1s with your manager to get you set up effectively and build a career path.
  • Build and drive a 12mo growth plan with your manager which will include objectives aligned to the team’s OKRs and also to your individual growth aspirations.
  • Experience and take an active part in the growth and success of a world class engineering organization.
What’s the hiring process like?
  • 30-45min: introductory call with your hiring manager.
  • 1h: technical profile interview - we assess your T-shaped profile (breadth of exposure, depth in areas you’re passionate about). There’s no requirement to hit 100%+ on all areas and it’s actually fine to skip those you’re unfamiliar with.
  • 2h: technical challenge interview - a live problem solving exercise where you pair up with future colleagues to implement a solution. The purpose of this is to see how you’ll collaborate in a close to realistic pair/mob programming setting to automate infrastructure tasks.
  • 1h: Culture & Values - a chance to meet one of our founders to discuss company culture and how your personal values align with ours.
  • 1h: Role & Responsibilities - this will be the final interview, discussing your approach to success in this role and what your first successful year in the company will look like.
Our Stance
  • We're eager to meet talented and driven candidates regardless of whether they tick all the boxes. We're looking for someone who will add to our culture, not just fit within it. We strongly encourage individuals from groups traditionally underestimated and underrepresented in tech to apply
  • We seek to actively recognize and combat racism, sexism, ableism and ageism. We embrace and support all gender identities and expressions, and celebrate love in its many forms. We won't inquire about how you identify or if you've experienced discrimination, but if you want to tell your story, we are all ears
