Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

Taktile is a high-growth, post product-market-fit start-up, on a fast trajectory to becoming market leader in the field of automated decisioning. As an SRE at Taktile, you will have the opportunity to join our dynamic and fast-growing company and contribute to the development and maintenance of our cloud operations and software delivery practices. You will work closely with our experienced SRE team to learn and grow in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This position is open for either our HQ in Berlin or our development hub in Iasi, Romania*. Applicants require a major in Computer Science. Strong grasp of written and spoken English is a must to effectively and clearly communicate in our remote environment.

What You'll Do

Gain hands-on experience in running and maintaining our cloud-native multi-region infrastructure using AWS Lambda and other cloud technologies.
Collaborate with the platform team to deploy, scale, and troubleshoot our services in the cloud environment.
Contribute to the improvement of our software delivery pipeline, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments through automation and CI/CD practices.
Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of our systems using monitoring and observability tools.
Work with the development teams to provide infrastructure and tooling support, enabling them to deliver high-quality software.
Contribute to the enhancement of our infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, using tools like Terraform, Packer, and Helm.
Collaborate with the team to continuously improve our information security and reliability engineering practices.
Learn and grow alongside your teammates by actively participating in knowledge-sharing sessions and embracing a culture of continuous learning.
Utilize your programming skills to automate repetitive tasks and develop tools to improve operational efficiency.

Ideal, But Not Required

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
Exposure to infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Packer, and Helm.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools like Git and GitHub Actions.
