That's where you come in.

As our Accounting Specialist you are the backbone of our organization. You will play a crucial part in helping us grow and scale Taktile's Finance Operations in Europe and the United States. You will be responsible for our financial accounting in Germany while closely collaborating with our American entities. Your daily tasks include the preparation of monthly financial accounting. You own the payroll process and are responsible for our billing process. Your role also includes overseeing the financial consolidation of our entities and the establishment of new processes and standards for our organization. This role requires hands-on work from an individual that is very well organized and likes to establish structure and consistency.

You will work closely with our Head of Operations and HR team to ensure that all our internal processes are well aligned. 

What You'll Do
  • Prepare the monthly financial accounting for the company incl. collection of invoices and receipts.
  • Ensure smooth handling of incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Process reimbursement forms.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of our financial data. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Closely collaborate with external partners including our tax accountants, payroll accountants, and American counterparts.
  • Support the Head of Operations with scaling Taktile's Financial Operations globally.
  • Enhance our financial accounting and payroll process and establish new standards.
Ideal, But Not Required
  • You have 4+ years of experience in financial accounting.
  • You have a strong knowledge of payroll and accounting regulations and best practices in Germany.
  • You are well organized and like to bring structure and consistency in your activities.
  • You worked with Personio, DATEV Unternehmen online, DATEV Kanzlei Rechnungswesen and GetMoss. 
  • You feel comfortable with new tasks and see them as a learning opportunity.
  • You have an excellent feel for language (German and English).
